Adventure was found today in the west metro region covering Carver Park Reserve, Lake Minnetonka Regional Park, and Gale Woods Farm. Over 140 participants came out for the Adventure Race which is co-sponsored by the MNOC and the Three Rivers Park District. The Adventure-O is a sanctioned USARA event and is also part of the Wisconsin Adventure Racing Series. 

 

The day was hot hot hot, and staying cool was the name of the game. Everyone did amazing. People enjoyed paddling on Whaletail Lake, apple picking at Gale Woods Farm, archery games at Carver, as well as battling through 8 foot tall prairie grasses. The mountain bike trails got rave reviews. The day wrapped up with lemonade, sloppy joes, potato salad, and raffle prizes back at HQ.

 

In the end, WEDALI took home first in the 8-hour team event, while Yovimpa (Lukas Karel) won the 8-hour solo, clearing the event in under 7.5 hours. In the 4-hour race, The Running of the Cows won first place, while Make Snow 1 and 2 (Robert Ibler and Madeline Lange) tied for the top spot of the 4-hour solo.
