Mille Lacs Kathio Orienteering Meet

Overview

MNOC will be hosting a Long distance competition on Sunday, April 30, 2017.  This event will have scheduled starts based on pre-registration with day-of registration allowed until all time slots are filled.  This event is open to all orienteers regardless of skill level.

 

MNOC is happy to host the US Team Trials for Junior and Senior World Orienteering Team selection.  This weekend will have a series of events to include a sprint on Friday, Middle distance event on Saturday, and a Long Distance Event on Sunday.  A full meet will be held at each event for orienteers of all ages and skill levels.

UPDATE 2/28/2017 - Not only are the OUSA senior and junior team trials taking place here, but also the Canadian team trials. All three days of the meet have been officially sanctioned as a national meet by OUSA for the Blue, Red, and Green courses (Long course for the sprint). Brown, Orange, and White/Yellow courses are also available, but are not sanctioned.

 

Courses

Regular Orienteering Meet with White/Yellow, Orange, Brown, Green, and Red Courses (All Skill Levels) meeting the criteria for the day's long distance event.  To find out more about these courses, see our Event Types page.

 

Schedule

  • Registration/Check-In: 9:30am - 1:00pm

  • Race Starts: 10:30am - 1:30pm

  • Course Closure: 4:30pm

Pre-registered Pricing:*

  • $20: Adults

  • $15: Juniors**

 

Late & Day-Of Pricing:*

  • $25: Adults

  • $18: Juniors**

 

*$3 discount for orienteering club members

**Juniors are 19 years old and under

***Additional discount available for three day event early-registration.  A $5 fee will be added for events held on the competition course due to fees associated with OUSA Sanctioning.
