Overview
Chester Woods Park is located about 6 miles east of Rochester, MN, on the headwaters of Bear Creek in the rugged bluff country of Southeastern Minnesota. The park features over 15 miles of primitive trails winding through fields, oak woods, and bluff prairie. The park includes a campground and beach, so bring your swim suit, and consider making it a weekend camping trip.
Courses
This is a regular Orienteering Meet with a variety of courses for all skill levels. Choose from beginner (White, Yellow), intermediate (Orange), and Advanced (Brown, Green, and Red) Courses, plus a BONUS Sprint Short Course available for all participants.
In conjunction with Olmsted County Chester Woods "Day in the Park" for those with disabilities program, MNOC will be offering FREE entry to both the beginner 1/2 mile White and the 1 mile Yellow orienteering courses. These are located on ADA trails in the park.

Location
Chester Woods is located 14 miles east of Rochester, MN on Hwy 14. From the Twin Cities, take US-52 south to Rochester, MN. Exit eastbound on SH-14 and go through the southern part of Rochester. Continue east out of town for approximately 4-5 miles. The park is on the right side of the road and is signed. Watch for the Park and O-Meet signs!
