2010 Race - Prologue

Can you believe we've been doing this for 10 years now?

Team WEDALI is proud to join forces with the Minnesota Orienteering Club in organizing the 10th Annual Adventure-O. This year's event will feature a mix of urban and backwoods adventure including flat-water paddling, on- and off-road biking, team challenges and plenty of navigation for the orienteering junkies! All abilities are welcome.

The race is open to coed teams of 2 and 4 persons and open (same sex) teams of 2. For the first time ever, the MNOC Adventure-O is part of the Checkpoint Tracker National Series. Teams that would like to earn points in the Checkpoint Tracker Series need to register their team with Checkpoint Tracker and add the MNOC Adventure-O to the team schedule.

The exact location of the race will be announced at the pre-race meeting at REI in Bloomington on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 PM. Teams from outside the Twin Cities will be informed of the location via email the same evening.

Where:Within 1.5 hours of the Twin Cities.
When:Saturday, July 9th 2011.
What:
  • Trekking/Running 5-10 miles)
  • Paddling (3-6 miles)
  • Road and Mountain Biking (20-30 miles)
  • Navigation and Orienteering
Who:Co-ed teams of 2 or 4 people OR 2 person open teams (same sex).
How Much:
  • Early Bird Registration: $70/racer (now through May 15)
  • Regular Registration: $85/racer (after May 15)
  • $30/team non-refundable deposit included in fees

Registration includes boats, maps, MNOC Buff, post-race meal and other miscellaneous swag.

2010 Race - Road Biking

Refund Policy

There is a $30.00 non-refundable deposit when registering for a MNOC Adventure-O event. Teams register by paying the entire team registration fee in full. Teams are not considered registered until full payment is received. Teams may change categories between 2-person and 4-person, as long as there is available space in the event. Teams that have teammates who fall ill or cannot participate due to unforeseen events are expected to find replacement teammates. All teams are subject to the following refund schedule; there are no exceptions. Team name and teammates may be changed up to race-day registration. Contact the registrar to make any changes.

  • Full refund less non-refundable deposit within 30 days of date of registration, up to 30 days before the race.
  • 50% refund less non-refundable deposit, up to 30 days before the race.
  • No refunds within 30 days of the race date.
