Teams
Each person must have:
- One (1) mountain bike. Road bikes will not be acceptable for the race terrain.
- One (1) ANSI approved bike helmet.
- One (1) Type III PFD.
- One (1) hydration pack, holding at least 32 ounces.
- One (1) safety whistle.
- One (1) waterproof shell jacket.
Canoes and paddles will be provided for the water section.
Each team must have:
- At least three (3) compasses; two to be held by team members, one spare in case of
accidents.
- Two (2) spare bike tubes and a tire replacement tool (One tube for 2-person teams).
- One (1) bicycle repair kit
- At least one (1) waterproof, sealable map case and a waterproof pen.
- Insect repellent.
- One (1) wilderness medical kit. More information on first aid will be given in the race packets.
- At least one (1) cellular phone with service in the Pine City area. Roaming service is OK. The phone
is intended only for calling 911 in emergency situations.
